Pumpkin cutie

My friend Daniele and I went went to a small pumpkin patch by her house, to get some more fun pictures of Sophia. Daniele has the most artistic eye, and is just a wonderful photographer! She is editing the pictures she took... so I'll post some as I get them. Here is one of my favorites so far!

Pumpkin patch fun

Yesterday, Alex and I went to an enormous pumpkin patch out west, about 30-45 minutes outside of Denver. It was a blast! There were pumpkins everywhere. Most were still on the vine. When you enter the patch they give you a little saw so you can pick your own pumpkins. I walked away with 4 great pumpkins and hundreds of pictures! Here are just a few pictures from our afternoon.

Swinging

Today I took Sophia and Tucker for a nice long walk. Then I decided to go to the park, and Sophia got to swing for the first time! She loved it. I think she sat in the swing happily for over 30 minutes! I finally took her out because her hands were cold, and I figured she'd be getting hungry soon. It was so cute!

She's learning how to sit up now. It's a work in progress. She can sit (without using her hands to hold herself up) for about 10 seconds. We just love watching her grow and learn every day!

5 months!!!

Happy 5 month birthday to our little girl!!! Wow, she has grown so much! Last night we tried to put her to bed without swaddling... she fell asleep with her arms outstretched as far as possible. It was hilarious! Quite the opposite of being swaddled. At 11 she woke up to eat, but when we put her back to bed she decided it was play time. She played, and cooed, and wiggled, and squealed. She ended up swaddled again so mommy and daddy could get some sleep. Hopefully tonight will be a bit better :)

A little fun

Sophia is getting so big! She is 5 months old today. Wow, has time just flown by. Our little girl has so much personality, and she is very vocal. She is quite the momma's girl, but she definitely loves her daddy and behaves better for him as time goes on. She's also starting to get used to Linda, but she's not without her fits. She is such an alert little girl, and never wants to nap because she's too busy taking in the world. That doesn't allow her mommy much time to get homework done. Any ways, below are some pictures from a week ago. She loves playing in her exersaucer and jumperoo. She's also learning to sit, by holding herself with her hands.
