New camera!!!

We were so sick of missing moments with our older digital camera. So, this week we decided to invest in a DSLR camera, the Nikon d3000! We love it so far. Needing to learn how to use the camera, we are taking a lot of pictures. Here are some of our favorites from the week.

Can you tell how much we love our little girl!

Sleep

This week we got 4 great nights of sleep! Sophia was stubborn and didn't fall asleep until about 11:30, but then woke up at 4:45, 5, and 5:30. Just when I thought I was wishing for too much she slept from 10:30 until 5:30! I can't believe we were able to get 7 hours of sleep!

Today was Ricky's first father's day. Fortunately he got to spend the morning and early afternoon at home before going to work.

This next week Sarah and Sophia are off to LA on Wednesday to visit Sarah's family for about 12 days. Ricky will join them in LA on Sunday. We will all return on July 5th. This little vacation will be so nice!

Love

This past week I didn't take photos. We were out and about doing so many things. Sophia and I went on lots of walks. Sophia loves sitting/laying outside. I like to take her outside and lay her on a blanket in the grass, she loves to look around at everything. She is awake so much more these days, but generally takes a long nap in the afternoon. We've been keeping busy. Sophia went to our friend's daughter's first birthday party on Friday night. On Saturday we took her to uncle Mike's 60th birthday party. She was such a good girl both nights, despite all the craziness. Here are some photos my friend took of Sophia and I right before her one month birthday.

Graduation!!!

This past weekend was a big weekend for us! Ricky graduated on Friday June 4th from the University of Denver with his MBA! After 3 long years, he is finally done!!! We couldn't be happier or prouder. On Friday afternoon he had the hooding ceremony and then the graduation ceremony. The hooding ceremony was for all the business graduates, and the graduation included all the doctoral and masters students. It was a long afternoon, but totally worth it! Sophia was amazing. She slept through most of the afternoon. She woke up about 1/2 an hour into the graduation ceremony, to eat. Then she fell back to sleep for a while longer. I only missed the last 5 minutes or so of the graduation- not bad! Estelle came in for the weekend to help out. Ricky's mom Sarah also came to the graduation ceremony. On Saturday we had a BBQ at our house to celebrate!
